Julie Eide joined The Barnabas Group MN near the end of 2016 after five years working in Commercial Real Estate. Prior to that in the 80’s and early 90’s Julie worked for Project for Pride in Living as General Manager running a social enterprise in the Phillips neighborhood. Eide received her undergraduate degrees in Economics and Religion from St. Olaf College and her MBA with a concentration in Inner City and Two-Thirds World Development from Easter University in Philadelphia PA. She has also lived and worked internationally. Currently Julie co-chairs Younglives, a Young Life program for teen moms and their babies in North Minneapolis. Julie has three children, enjoys new adventures and getting her hands dirty. Her happy place is Red Lodge, Montana.
Jennifer O’Neill, Program Manager and Communications Specialist
Jennifer’s career has primarily focused on the growth and development of children of all ages. Over the past seven years, she has operated her own in-home daycare, working with many different families and children. Prior to this, she worked as a program coordinator for a children’s museum in northern Wisconsin. Jennifer is extremely active in her church and community, serving as a board member for the local little league baseball team, vice president of the PTSA for Neill Elementary, and as a Sunday school teacher at her church. Jennifer lives in Minneapolis with her husband and three boys, as well as their trusty companion, Chopper.
Scott Slater is Vice President, Practice Management & Consulting for Fidelity Custody & Clearing Solutions. Mr. Slater has 20 years of experience in the wealth management industry. Prior to Fidelity, he was Managing Director of Charles Schwab’s national business consulting practice for over eight years. Earlier, he was managing director of Metavante’s wealth management consulting practice and a director for the Spectrem Group and was senior vice president and general manager of American Express Personal Trust Services. He began his career in consumer products marketing at General Mills and led several marketing departments for Norwest Bank (now Wells Fargo). Scott is married and has two adult children.
For over 28 years, Darcie Corbin led change and innovation as a Senior Vice President at UnitedHealth Group. Prior to UnitedHealth Group, Darcie led technology development and operations for large data analytics, managed care and specialty benefits at the Travelers. Darcie serves on the board of the National Christian Foundation – Twin Cities. She is on the executive leadership team for the American Heart Association Twin Cities Heart Walk. Darcie enjoys travel, cooking, dance and being outdoors. She is married with a daughter in college, and they split their time between Minneapolis and the Adirondacks in upstate New York.
Reid Evenson is president and CEO of the holding company, Tradition Bancshares, Inc. He is past president and CEO of Tradition Bank. Reid is also on the board of directors of Tradition Capital Bank and has more than 40 years of banking experience, most recently as president of Eagle Crest Capital Bank, a division of Home Federal Bank in Edina, MN. Mr. Evenson has significant experience in private banking, commercial loan origination, cash management systems and operations. As a graduate of the Master’s Program, Reid is one of the founding members of The Barnabas Group MN.
Jeff Fox is a proven senior finance executive in the mutual fund, financial services and public accounting industries. Leveraging his significant boardroom experience throughout his career, he has served as an independent director on several boards. Recently on a mutual fund board, and currently, as the Board President on two non-profit boards. He served as Audit Chair on all three boards.
Lowell “Jake” Jacobsen graduated from the University of Minnesota and became a CPA. After serving in various leadership positions with Medtronic, Jake has spent the last 20 years in ministry, philanthropy and mentoring. Married for 50 years to Cheryl. Daughter Ann is married with two children. As a graduate of the Master’s Program, Jake is one of the founding members of The Barnabas Group MN.
Thomas O’Neill has spent his entire career in the non-profit sector. He started his career in the U.S. Senate, before making a transition to outdoors ministry in northern Wisconsin. A position with Thrivent Financial moved his family to Minneapolis, where he would eventually be recruited to the role of President/CEO of Youth Encounter, a national youth ministry organization. Thomas is currently working for Second Harvest Heartland, where he heads up the major giving and development operations departments. During his free time, Thomas hosts a podcast called Pint Glass Preachers, and speaks nationally for youth and young family audiences. Thomas lives in Minneapolis with his wife and three young boys.
Richard Voelbel is an avid philanthropist with 30+ years of legal experience. He served as Chair of the Mission Board for Colonial Church of Edina and currently serves on the Board of Directors for ARC and The Barnabas Group-Minnesota. Voelbel continually seeks new ways to assist in paving a faith and human rights based path for humanity. He lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota and San Francisco, California with his wife Lynn has three children Richard (wife Sarah), Mary and Joseph, and four grandchildren. As a graduate of the Master’s Program, Rich is one of the founding members of The Barnabas Group MN.
Jay Robinson is married and a proud father of 3 children. He has spent his 30-year business career In the financial services field here in Minneapolis. Currently an RVP with Charles Schwab. The Robinsons are active, outdoor enthusiasts. Over the recent years, he and his family have become more interested in helping out in various ways with several small ministries in the twin cities. He really enjoys the work the Barnabas Group does, helping connect people to great opportunities for the Kingdom. As a graduate of the Master’s Program, Jay is one of the founding members of The Barnabas Group MN.
