How can I Join The Barnabas Group Minnesota?

If you are interested in membership, come to a meeting! Come as a guest so you can meet other members and be introduced to non-profit organizations. After 1-2 visits, we ask that you choose if you would like to join the group. If you are interested, please contact Jill Osborn, Managing Partner.

What Does “Typical Membership” Look Like?

A.

All members are united in that they are acting on their belief that God wants us to serve others like Jesus did. This means that all members are believers in Christ but not the same religion. We have members that are Baptist, Catholic, Evangelical Christian, Lutheran, Methodist, Non-Denominational and more.

What is The Barnabas Group?

The Barnabas Group (TBG) was founded with the goal of allowing Christians to use their collective talents as God would lead, in helping advance His Kingdom. In short, TBG is a ministry whose members have a passion to serve other ministries with their diverse passions and talents. The Barnabas Group is a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization.

Is there a membership fee or cost for participating?

No. Participation in The Barnabas Group Minnesota, including all meetings and events is free. Our expenses, including a donation from TBG to each presenting ministry, are covered by generous gifts from our donors.

What is the mission statement of The Barnabas Group?

Our mission statement is: Connecting leaders, changing lives. We are committed to see the time, talent, touch and treasure of marketplace leaders helping ministries transform lives worldwide.

What is The Barnabas Group “SWOT” team?

A.

We will invite members to serve on a "SWOT Team" that comes together two to three times each year for a couple of hours to brainstorm an issue or problem with a ministry.

What is the time commitment?

A.

The Barnabas Group Minnesota meets six times per year for an evening gathering.  These meetings are 2.5 hours long and all members are requested to attend.

Optional one-hour luncheons, coffees and get-togethers are held at non-profit organizations to learn more about the issues plaguing the people that are being served. Members choose to attend based upon their interest.

Locally, The Barnabas Group Minnesota is led by a Managing Partner and Board Members, whom are also members of The Barnabas Group Minnesota.

The Barnabas Group is a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) organization. Participation is free. Our expenses, including a donation from TBG to each presenting ministry, are covered by generous gifts from our donors.
